Welcome in the name of Jesus to Good Shepherd Lutheran Kindergarten! Our school theme for this year is "It's All About Jesus" based on Hebrews 13:8. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." This verse sums up the purpose and focus of all aspects of education at Good Shepherd. We are a community of Christian believers with the goal to disciple children through daily study, discussion, coaching and application of God's Word.
ARK-ALWAYS READY FOR KINDERGARTEN is the Kindergarten classroom theme. We focus on God's great mercy and forgiveness in Jesus! We study God's Word each day allowing Him to shape and mold our lives.
Teaching young children is a joy because they bring so much energy and enthusiasm to life. Their approach to learning is usually focused on investigation and I love watching them discover new areas of life.
With over twenty years of experience in early childhood education my primary focus is summed up in the word- PROCESS. Life is always changing and requires us to adapt to new seasons and experiences. Each of us is uniquely designed and gifted by God. We all grow and change at different rates. Maintaining a supportive classroom climate is vital. Living daily in a Christian community gives each child many chances to practice accepting and supporting others.
May God richly bless our team effort!
